I had so much fun the last time you all gave me ideas I couldn't wait to do it again! But this time I've upped the ante! One of my favorite things to do in the process of making my resin jewelry is playing with colors. But try as I might I tend to be drawn to the same colors again and again...so here's where you come in. Check out the necklaces on the lovely model Kristin! This is what I call my Giant Round Necklace. It is a large sterling silver pendant filled with jewelry grade, hand-pigmented resin and herbs (each has a special meaning) and hangs on a 16in. sterling silver ball chain. It retails for $80. It has four rings of color - what I need from you are some new color combos. Here is a link to the colors I work with http://www.metalsgirl.com/art/people/herbs.htm Just let me know what four colors you think would look great together from the outer circle to the tiny inner circle. I challenge you to think outside the box. I'll randomly pick from the suggestions, make it, photograph it, post it here, and send it to the person who picked that color combo! Fun, huh?!? So send this to your friends, the more ideas the better! I'm going to decide on August 4th. I can't wait!!!!

I am so addicted!
So, there's not a whole lot that I am addicted to...well, I am pretty addicted to "So, you think you can dance?", but other than that it's just Magnolia Bakery cupcakes. I mean look at them! And they are waaaaaaaay more delicious than they even look. So, I bring this up because we just decided to take a trip back to NYC this fall, we were just there in March but...I guess I'm a little addicted to the city too...so anyway, first thing that comes to mind is CUPCAKES! :) Then I thought, "how can I turn this into a business trip?" I have like 30 stores that carry my work around the United States and even one in Venezuela, but none in New York City. So, my new goal is to get a store in the city or in Brooklyn or both! This brings me to the REAL point of my blogging - if anyone knows of a store that might be a good fit for my work shoot me an e-mail or comment. I'm up for any suggestion! Thanks!

Ch-ch-ch-chia!
Meet our newest foster dog! How cute is that face?!?!? This poor little one ended up at one of our local kill shelters when she was just five or six weeks old. She was just a mess - she had mange so bad that she was covered in sores and scabs. It never ceases to amaze me that people let things like this happen to helpless animals. But now she is getting lots of love, good, quality food, and medicine. And every day she gets better, grows more hair, and learns what it's like to be in a loving home. Now all she needs is to find a family to adopt her! www.bluedogrescue.com Who wouldn't love that face?!?!

And the Winner is...
Marge Simpson!!! Thanks so much to Mary for her suggestion. Who doesn't respect a strong, blue haired woman?!? And thanks to everyone else who made great suggestions. This whole "class participation" is a lot more fun than I remember it being in high school! :) We might have to do this again soon...

A glimpse into my world...
The very first "big" tool I ever got was my torch and I set it up in my parents garage. Then, when I had my own house it was in my little garage with a dirt floor - but truthfully, the possums used it more than I did. Then we moved to a house with a fancy two car garage! :) But now I'm big time! I have a studio inside my house! Air conditioning, cable, the whole shooting match! I love it! I've got a couple of jewelers benches - the one in the forefront my dad built for me. I enjoy being in there so much that I sometimes can't wait to go to sleep so I can get up and get to work. I fill the walls and spaces with things I love - from my framed Andy Gibb albums above my window to my great grandmothers sweater over the back of my chair. It is comfortable, happy, and inspiring. Oh, and there's for sure a tube of lip balm on nearly every surface! :)
