Time for some class participation - you'll be rewarded...

I had so much fun the last time you all gave me ideas I couldn't wait to do it again! But this time I've upped the ante! One of my favorite things to do in the process of making my resin jewelry is playing with colors. But try as I might I tend to be drawn to the same colors again and again...so here's where you come in. Check out the necklaces on the lovely model Kristin! This is what I call my Giant Round Necklace. It is a large sterling silver pendant filled with jewelry grade, hand-pigmented resin and herbs (each has a special meaning) and hangs on a 16in. sterling silver ball chain. It retails for $80. It has four rings of color - what I need from you are some new color combos. Here is a link to the colors I work with http://www.metalsgirl.com/art/people/herbs.htm Just let me know what four colors you think would look great together from the outer circle to the tiny inner circle. I challenge you to think outside the box. I'll randomly pick from the suggestions, make it, photograph it, post it here, and send it to the person who picked that color combo! Fun, huh?!? So send this to your friends, the more ideas the better! I'm going to decide on August 4th. I can't wait!!!!

These necklaces are so bright and attractive. I want one.

From outer circle to inner circle:

dark blue: my father's favourite colour (your chart says sleep which I love to do - and I'm fond of money, too.)

burnt orange: my boyfriend's favourite colour (your chart says intelligence & eloquence, and I'm trying to use my intelligence to kickstart a writing/editing business....to help other people sound eloquent.)

gold: your chart states dill = money and lust. I can always use more money. Lust, too. And when my sister and I get together, which is rare because she lives in Tokyo and I live in Montreal, we make ourselves sick on dill pickle chips and dill pickle chip dip. Yum.

robin's egg blue: I can't deny that I want power and success. A robin's egg was always such a lucky find when I was a kid - the fact that nature could produce such an ethereal colour always amazed me. Still does.

I would try dark blue, olive, pale pink, and gold. Your necklaces are really cool. I like how the herbs give them meaning. When I was looking at your color chart and trying to envision the colors wrapping around each other, I was thinking that you might get a lot more custom orders if you had someone design you a function where people could drag and drop colors on a sample pendant to see the way they would look together. Maybe an idea for the future for you:)

You do a lot of bright colors in your necklaces. Very beautiful.

I am a lampwork jewelry artist. I had a blast pulling your colors into Publisher and playing around with them. Here is what I came up with. I went with a more subdued palette, more earthy than what you tend toward.

Going from big to little circles:

Summer: Orange, Olive, White, Teal.
Fall: Orange, Olive, White, Brown.

You have cool stuff on your site. Best wishes.

Thanks for having the giveaway.
